forest cover Pathanamthitta a land of natural beauty, also
abounds in numerous Rubber plantations. This fertile
agricultural land produces plantations of Paddy, Tapioca, a

Perumthenaruvi Waterfalls a favorite picnic spot on the banks
of Pamba is a famous natural waterfall.
Aranmula a true representation of rural Kerala, showcases its
world famous traditional craft of Aranmula Metal Mirror,
called ‘Aranmula Kannadi’. The local craftsmen here are also
well versed in Mural Paintings and Boat Construction.
Charalkunnu is a hill station here with a panoramic view of
Pamba.
Kakki is a reservoir surrounded by forest teaming with
wildlife including Tigers, Elephants, Deer and Monkeys.
Konni and Anathodu are famous for its Elephants. When in Konni
one can ride on an Elephant, Anathodu is the place where one
can see Elephants being tamed and trained for work.
The monument of Veluthambi Dalawa the great Indian patriot at
Mannady is of great importance.
Sabarimala, Maramon, Cheukolpuzha, Manjanikkara, Parumala are
some of the famous religious places here.

Nearest airport is at Cochin, 152 km away. Rail link at
Tiruvalla, 30 kms. away connects Pathanamthitta with rest of
Kerala and India. M C road, an important state highway passes
through Pathanamthitta district.
